24 artists, 24 hours at Pip Gallery, April 30th
Each piece is based on an article that ran in The New York Times or The Washington Post on April 30, 2008. The materials for these pieces were also found within the same 24 hours. The used folders with metal tabs, vinyl and teeth x-ray films were found at Scrap, a local school and community reuse non-profit organization.
Additional materials included: wax, pigment, thread, sparkly gold vinyl and a few other elements.
The painting measures approximately 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and is ready to hang. The original newspaper clipping will be included.
